Frozen Mango Lassi

Brunswick Aces non alcoholic mango lassi cocktail

A spin on the mango lassi recipe that incorporates a non-alcoholic spirit to spice it up a little and using fresh mango to create an icy smoothie like texture that is lovely to drink in summer.

Over in Australia, we love our mangoes. And why not? So when it comes to mango season and you want to have your mango every which way you can, why not in your drinks too? In the Indian cuisine, the mango lassi is a popular drink and primarily like a version of a yoghurt smoothie. So we thought we’d put a spin on the recipe and add some botanical complexity via the form of the Brunswick Aces Hearts Blend, which is a non-alcoholic spirit that uses among its botanicals, pink grapefruit, clove, star anise and ginger. To top it off, we garnished with a bit of dill, which surprisingly complemented the slight spiced mango quite well.

Ingredients

  • A half cheek of fresh mango

  • 1 tablespoon mango flavoured Greek yoghurt (or plain Greek yoghurt)

  • 60ml honey syrup

  • 60ml Brunswick Aces Hearts Blend

  • 30ml cream

Blend everything in a blender with spoonful of ice until well combined and smooth. Pour into glass and garnish with a sprig of dill.
